For Shilla Hotel Group’s first Shilla Monogram Hotel outside of South Korea located in a pristine beachfront of Da Nang, Vietnam, Studio Whynought collaborated closely with Shilla to create and capture this specific Monogram’s ethos.
Whynought’s approach was to compose a cultural balance - firstly by infusing timeless and wholesome core values from Shilla’s flagship ‘The Shilla’ and secondly by embracing the local indigenous charm and beauty of Da Nang, taking inspirations from its local arts and culture. This combination provides guests with an authentic and meaningful stay through a sequential and visually layered sensory experience.
The center hall
lobby lounge
expresses the heart of the monogram hotel and is defined by a patterned
screen with an art portal anchored at two ends by the reception and bar. The center hall
is airy and suffused with warm and glowy setting providing an intimately scaled and
memorable
Monogram Experience.
